Jeffery H. Davis, M.Ed. An accomplished author, Mr. Davis has written and published six course books through the American Management Association (AMA). In 1996, he completed Managing and Achieving Organizational Goals. Another book, Coaching for Top Performance, was released in the fall of 1995. He has authored three other books, each for the AMA’s Essential Business Skills series: Interpersonal Communication Skills for the Workplace (the current Series bestseller), Workplace Reading Efficiency, and an audio-tape course, How to Develop Listening Skills in the Workplace. Mr. Davis recently completed his sixth course book, Planning & Facilitating Effective Meetings. Mr. Davis’ clients include the Division of Medical Assistance, the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Housing & Community Development, the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation, the Merrimack Valley AIDS Project, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, the New Hampshire Coalition for the Homeless, Boston-based Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC), Management Training Programs (MTP), Citizens Bank, Fleet Bank, Lo-Jack, Compaq/HP, Nstar, AEGON, MIT Lincoln Labs, and MITRE. Mr. Davis earned his M.Ed. in Management from Cambridge College. He is a qualified administrator of the following professional assessment instruments: the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Thomas-Kilman Conflict Mode Assessment, the BEST Communication Style Instrument, and the DISC.
Ms. Haas is an adjunct faculty member at Emmanuel College in the Master of Science in Management and Human Resource Management graduate programs. She has authored three graduate courses for Emmanuel College. She served as Project Manager for the UMass Donahue Institute where she managed the development, delivery, and evaluation of management, supervisory, and technical training programs. Ms. Haas also served as Regional Training Manager for Texas Instruments, responsible for regional operations, marketing, sales, and forecasting of client-based technical training for TI/Semiconductor Division. Recent clients include: Harvard University, Colleges of the Fenway, University of Massachusetts, Buckingham, Browne and Nichols, Mercury Computers Inc., Lowell Community Health Center, South Shore Hospital, Brockton Hospital, New England Water Works Association, Massachusetts Firefighting Academy, and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation.
Charlotte has led large group interventions since 1990, when she began working with several Cape Cod town governments. As a part of the planning process with the Cape Cod Commission, she designed and facilitated town-wide visioning/planning forums in Yarmouth and Orleans to assist the communities with developing their Comprehensive Town Plans. She has also led a number of large group, Open Space workshops for clients such as the Massachusetts Bankers Association, Earth Stewards Network, Citizen's Bank, CR Bard, and Northeast Human Resource Association. As a part of the Commonwealth's statewide Managing for Results Initiative (MRI), Charlotte served as Lead Consultant in a project to assist the Division of Medical Assistance (DMA) in their employee involvement efforts for process improvement. She designed meetings and instructed facilitators to lead the idea generation sessions for gathering doable recommendations and led a process for the Senior Team to implement ideas within an 18-24 month period. Since 1981, Charlotte has been a participant at the Creative Problem Solving Institute in Buffalo, NY; and for ten years she has been a faculty member in their Facilitating Creative Leadership Program. During this time, she has taught multi-cultural leadership groups the Osborn Parnes Creative Problem Solving model: techniques for facilitating groups and creative thinking, and the skills to create high performance, innovative teams. In 1992, Charlotte became a Colleague of the Creative Education Foundation in recognition of her work at the Institute. Charlotte holds Masters Degrees in both Education and Business from the University of Michigan and Lesley College.
Since 1992, Ms. Kugell has represented clients in the Massachusetts Courts, various United States Federal District Courts (including Georgia, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Rhode Island), and the United States Court of Appeals for the First and Eleventh Circuits. Ms. Kugell has also represented employers at various state and federal agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), the Rhode Human Rights Commission, the New Hampshire Human Rights Commission, the Massachusetts Labor Relations Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Civil Service Commission. Ms. Kugell represents employers at arbitration hearings and negotiates collective bargaining agreements. In addition, she conducts numerous seminars and training programs on unlawful harassment, effectuating reasonable accommodations, effective and defensible disciplinary tools, good supervisory skills, lawful hiring practices, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the interrelationship of the FMLA, disability discrimination laws, and workers' compensation statutes, and integrated leave and attendance programs. She also advises employers on the variety of labor and employment law issues. Ms. Kugell graduated cum laude from Brandeis University and is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law.
Dr. Romney received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the City University of New York where she won the Bernard R. Ackerman Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Graduate Psychology. She was a pre-doctoral fellow in consultation and education at the Yale University of Medicine, and is currently doing post-graduate study at The College of Executive Coaching. Currently, Dr. Romney teaches part -time at Mt. Holyoke College where she is Visiting Associate Professor of Psychology. She is a member of the Division of Consulting Psychology of the American Psychological Association. She is also a member of the American Family Therapy Academy.
