Partnership Eligibility

Becoming a “Partner” is the first step to receiving Capacity Building Grants.
The Capacity Building Grants will be awarded through a separate application process, available only to Partners. The Capacity Building Grants application form will be available in early June 2008, and the deadline for applying will be July 2, 2008. 
In addition to other Partner Services, Partners will receive technical assistance in applying for grants if they chose to apply.

Potential applicants to be “Partners” should be aware of the criteria for monetary grants, as follows:

Cape Cod Youth Empowerment Initiative Grant Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a Youth Development Partner, have completed an organizational assessment and developed a capacity building plan.
  • Priority will be given to programs that focus on serving youth ages 14-24; secondary priority given to programs that assist youth and their families transitioning from homelessness, welfare to work or incarceration.
  • Organizations are not required to have a 501 (c) (3) or a fiscal sponsor.
  • Group must demonstrate an organizational structure, have a mailing address and regular meeting place.
  • Faith based programs must demonstrate how religious activities are separated from program services.
  • Preference given to organizations with operating budgets of less than $500,000, who do not traditionally receive federal funding.
  • Organizations with a pre-existing youth focus (no start-up funding) and request may not supplant funding.
